Hi! My name is Carmen, and I run readcaffeinated.
My book loving journey started at a very young age when my grandfather taught me how to read and write. From there, you couldn’t see me without a book. I read Harry Potter, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Ramona Quimby, and even Mary-Kate and Ashley chapter books. My childhood reading developed into a more serious love of books and literature. I graduated university with an English Literature degree, and did an extra year after undergrad to get a publishing certificate. I even did an internship at Penguin Random House Canada. So yes, you could say I really love books.
I first started this blog to accompany my Instagram account. I created my Instagram to talk to others about books, my undying love of coffee, and share my overall creativity. I came up with the name readcaffeinated almost instantly. Most of the time, I’m drinking coffee while reading, or doing anything for that matter. After a while, I really wanted to write more in depth reviews, and even expand my content beyond books. That is when I created this blog. On readcaffeinated, you will find lots of great bookish content, with the occasional lifestyle post. Oh, and of course lots of pictures of coffee. Let’s not forget about the coffee.
