Spring Favourites (2018)

RC_Spring_Favourites_2018
Spring is officially over, but it doesn’t even feel like it began for me. Where I live, it felt like winter went straight into summer. It was a strange transition, and just didn’t feel like the spring season at all. I didn’t have a full blast of allergies like I usually do. When spring begins, my allergies take over my life. That’s how I know spring just flew by this year. Although the season wasn’t really felt physically, I did enjoy a lot of different things in the past three months, so spring was a bit fruitful after all.

Beauty:
– Colourpop Lippie Stix in Aquarius
– Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb
– Bite Beauty Amouse Bouche lipstick in Meringue
– Urban Decay Cream Lipstick in Naked
– Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette
– Bite Beauty Matte Crayon in Léche

Although there really wasn’t a spring where I am, I did gravitate towards more pinky and peachy makeup. I really loved how it looked, and was really refreshing to see colours like that after months of darkness and snow. The Fenty Gloss Bomb was definitely my most used makeup item during these last three months.

Books:
Brain on Fire by Susannah Cahalan
Bad Feminist by Roxane Gay
A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki

During the last three months, I noticed I got into a few reading slumps. It initially happened after reading a really bad book, and from that point on, I was not in the mood to read at all. Fortunately for me, my love of reading came back, and was able to read a lot of amazing books. It was nice to read new books and not be so overwhelmingly disappointed. Expect to see a lot of book reviews in the future!

Movies/Television:
Westworld Season 2
Community
Lady Bird
Coco
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Season 4

Movie and television wise, I have watched some flipping fantastic things. The whole season of West World was beyond my expectation. It was brilliantly written, and it left me guessing every single time. Man, I love that show. I also really fell in love with Community as well, which has become one of my all time favourite comedy shows. I also really loved watching Lady Bird and Coco on Netflix. Two very different movies, but so entertaining as well. It was definitely a good season for watching!
