Another year has started, which means another year of books to read! I always have a difficult time picking books to read because I own over 100 books I haven’t read yet. Yup, that’s right, over 100. In a reading year, I read a lot of books I haven’t read yet, but I also reread books too. So, adding that into consideration, it becomes very hard for me to choose what books I feel like reading month to month.
With that being said, I was able to pick 4 books I really want to read in January. Of these 4 books, 2 of them have been on my mind for years now, so I thought it was time to finally read them. I decided that for this month, I wanted to focus on books I have been eager to read, and just read them. Regardless of how long they are, or how hyped they are, I picked these books because I want to read them now.
Here is my January TBR pile:
1. This is Happy by Camilla Gibb
2. Love and Friendship by Jane Austen
3. A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara
4. Fates and Furies by Lauren Groff
If I have a bit more time, I would like to finish off the first Game of Thrones novel. I started it in 2017, but I didn’t manage to finish it. I blame my need to read over 60 books last year, which I didn’t end up doing. Let’s see how this month goes! Let me know what books you’re reading this month!

A Little Life is AMAZING (it made my 2017 favorites list), and I just bought Fates and Furies. Happy reading!
